They're probably all embarrassed by the TV series and thus want to make up for their mistakes there by not rushing the sequel.

Regardless of its quality, Madhouse would be justified in having high hopes for NS2's international success; Even two people I know in real life bought copies of the original.

I had wondered what had happened to Ninja Scroll 2. Good to hear that it might still happen.

Don't really see the point, since I don't think they ever
intended to do a sequel. It's also kind of tough to top the original, especially with all the wire-fu and Neo-jidai-geki stuff they got nowadays. Plus, the Japanese didn't go for the original film, so there's a risk it might not make much money-especially since American fans have moved on from action-horror.

That's awesome. I figured that this had been doomed to remain in limbo forever. It's nice to see some old school anime still being produced.

Even if this project does go underway, I can't help but think it's too little, too late. Ninja Scroll is pretty much old hat in the anime community and I'm not so sure there will still be interest?
