Color me gobsmacked; I always thought this manga ended early because of poor sales, but it seems it was(so I've heard) so they could do an anime? I really liked about the first 3/4 of the manga, but they speedran the last bit of it. It needed about another 20-30 chapters to breathe and give the author to flesh out the characters better.

It was the winner of a reality show, so the anime was always planned from the beginning as a prize.

The series did get canceled which is why the ending was rushed. So I wonder if the anime will bother fleshing things out or stick to what is available.

Having your first manga, which is themed around animation, get animated by MAPPA is an insane pull. I remember liking the manga well enough so I'll check it out.

I'll NEVER FORGIVE Jump for canceling this one (and Goze Hotaru), it was a real good romance with a bit more going on!

Pretty colorful. I love that. This also reminds me a lot of Ya Boy Kongming, which has reminded me I meant to do a rewatch.
