Of course, they look nothing like their manga counterparts, but they need the 18-35 female demo to see it, so...
 Anyway, I'm wondering how much they'll get away with in this one. MW's kind of like an Alan Moore comic: it's better left in its original incarnation.

This is not one of Tezuka's works that I would want to see adapted into live action. I'm actually surprised that this one was chosen. I didn't particularly like MW. Maybe I'm just disappointed because I was hoping for an Ode to Kirihito live action adaptation.

Best news of the day. When I read this I said to myself this needs to be a movie by now. Still...NO PROOF UNTIL PRODUCTION! I hope for this movie though.

I can understand this complaint for Garai, but Yuki is SUPPOSED to be attractive.
Because a revered manga-god that firmly established a medium in Japan is the same as a well-read comic book creator in the English-speaking world.
Now you just lost me there. |

MW was my sole dissappointment to date regarding Osamu Tezuka's work (I was impressed by the first eight chapters, but the direction that takes the manga afterwards was terrible, i.m.h.o.); though, I think it can do for a good thriller movie.
Anyway, this kind of cinema isn't my cup of tea, so I won't be looking forward to it. |
