Yeah, it was pretty obviously heading for The Big Ending this week. Well, I think it ran a decent amount of time and has been building to it, not a precipitous axe. I rather liked this one - like the one about the prohibition bootleggers it was much more mature (in the non-porny way) than the usual Jump stuff. So I'm kind of sad to see it go but would rather this than have it turned into a zombified corpse like One Piece.

Totally agree — it’s always bittersweet when a good series wraps up, but I’d rather see it end on its own terms than drag on endlessly. Darling’s Vanishing Act had a refreshing tone and storytelling style that stood out in Jump. Mature without being edgy for the sake of it. Sad to see it go, but glad it didn’t overstay its welcome.

One Piece isn’t anywhere near to hitting seasonal rot.
