A Satoshi Kon film for children? Is that a robotic monkey with an electrical plug for a tail? I'm real curious how this will play out.

well Tokyo Godfathers was a family movie, so i don't see why this can't work. Kon hasn't let me down yet.

I'm looking forward to it! I adore everything Kon's directed, so let's hope this one turns out awesome, too. I hope we hear more about it soon, too.

I don't know if I would call a movie where one of the main characters is constantly calling the other a fagot, all the while getting fall down drunk a children's movie though. I don't even know if I would call it a family movie, even though the movie is in fact about a family of sorts.
Anyway, your right though that Kon hasn't let us down as far as quality goes for the most part. I just can't imagine him making a film too kiddie. Hopefully it will just be, "not explicit".

Oh I gotta see this. I enjoy all his movies and you know with everything he creates there's always some crazy cerebral message hidden inside. But he's probably trying to show his viewers that he can make all sorts of films.
This could get interesting. I cannot wait to see where he goes with this one.

Gonna miss the psychological suspense. The quality of his other films though, makes this next one a must-see, even if it deviates from the past style.

Kon is my favorite director too, and it's good to see him stretching himself instead of going back to thrillers. If this goes well it'll be a big step for him.

Huh, interesting...the style reminds me of the mascots of the abandoned theme park from Paprika.

Satoshi Kon and Terry Gilliam need to work together. Their themes are so similar.
