I was going to make a joke on that, but you saved me the trouble. The bullying scene for me was much worse in the movie than that, not that the racist stereotyping wasn’t ugly itself. Something that sticks with you watching a guy get the hell beaten out of him with loaded pillowcases/socks by his dorm ages and then of course the bullying makes him murder his tormentor and himself. |

Last night, I was going to say something about how weird it was for Modine to be referenced with Oppenheimer instead of, you know, the character he will ALWAYS be primarily associated with. But, decided it wasn't worth it in case someone wanted to argue "that's an old movie, no one remembers that" or something like that. |
