Uh-oh. Aren't Bandai the ones who are going to charge $50 per volume for sub-only releases of Sola? Which means I probably won't be able to afford to add this to my collection either. Provided it's any good in the first place. What I've read about it reminds me of Stratos4.......

I thought it was bandai VISUAL with the high prices and sub only releases, not entertainment? That said, I don't know the normal release standards for BE.

Rocket Girls has very little in common with Stratos4, as icepick314 nicely summarized in an earlier thread. Also, Rocket Girls is essentially set in the present day - sort of a "day after tomorrow" timeframe - and the technology they use is almost entirely stuff that is available right now.
And as Vortextk said in the previous post, Bandai Entertainment is not the same as Bandai Visual USA. |

Bandai Entertaiment's aquisition of Rocket Girls already has its own thread here, and as mentioned above Bandai Entertainment is different from Bandai Visual USA. Bandai Entertainment brought you such titles as Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex, Witch Hunter Robin, Scrapped Princess, and Escaflowne (all priced reasonably and with dubs included). |
