I saw a preview of this recently and it got me really excited. I love sci-fi camp! Very Happy Oh, and that's campy sci-fi, not a camp for sci-fi, just to be clear.

I can't help but think of the old Flash Gordon show and also "Thunderbirds are Go!!" Cool

Awesome. After reading this review, I am happy that I pre-ordered this (still waiting for TRSI to ship my copy). I've been craving a fun sci-fi series and this looks to be just what the doctor ordered. Very Happy

Yeah, I agree with the sentiments here. The retro-stylings, old-school Sci-Fi, and big band music just sounds fun. Almost reminds me of Giant Robo. I'm going to pick this up as soon as I can.

All I have to say is: a female character named Lotta Brest??? Are you kidding me?

I watched this show on my Charter On Demand and instantly became engrossed with it. Sadly, only 4 episodes of the series were played leaving me on the edge of my seat knowing only 2 episodes were left.

That was my reaction as well. Maybe she's supposed to be "Rotta Blest"? Laughing But maybe that's supposed to be a Bond movie throwback.

The subtitle script, however, is rather more prone to typos than is entirely professional.
That's unfortunate to hear. I haven't seen any of the (still incomplete) fansubs, but I guess it's thinpack o'clock for me on this one.

"Lotta Brest" is actually a 13-year old girl who's flat as a board, unfortunately. But it's still a hilarious name.

Even the opening credits to this are great. I think this review did a good job of capturing what it's like. A lot of people won't get into it, but I'm hoping it'll get a cult following here in the U.S.

Well, if it helps any, in the preview I watched they pronounced the last name as Breest.

Actually, no, it doesn't help. Anytime I see the name, I can't help but think the obvious.

What I thought was even stranger is a guy named Penny. Confused

Felt like one part War of the Worlds, one part Captain Scarlett and the Mysterons, and one part Venture Brothers.

I was able to catch some of Thunderbirds back when TechTV aired it. I loved it in all of its glorious sci-fi camp. Lady Penelope was awesome. So, if this show makes you think of it, I shall have to check the show out.
