Well this is certainly unexpected. Here I am, bitching and moaning that game devs needing to stop with the weird VR experiences that last 20 minutes and equate to playing catchball with your dad, and SE goes and announces not-Final Fantasy Tactics is getting a VR version.
This is honestly not my first choice for converting something like this, I'd have maybe preferred something like Dragon Quest Builders 2? Thing is, Demeo exists and is a really fun D&D-style game to play in VR. In similar vein, I don't think Triangle Strategy is a bad call exactly.... I just cant imagine I'd prefer to play it in this format over a standard 4K TV setup for any reason other than the novelty. Same with Dragon Quest III or Octopath.... Even still, I actually don't own Triangle Strategy yet and for the sake of supporting VR endeavors, I may pick this up in the hopes that SE invests more into VR in the future - it'd be a great way to see Final Fantasy Mobius make a return too. |
