I don't know what you're talking about. All of those shows deserved far more accolades and awards than they got. For example, the Razzie Awards.
I, for one, look forward to this movie. It'll be a great watch, assuming that I've got at least five shots of cheap vodka in me when I do. Five shots should get me used to enduring numbing punishment and bad taste for a few hours.
All I can say is, "Thank god they didn't do this to Robotech/Macross." After all, a quality adaption of an Tezuka work by Hollywood is, well, doomed from the get-go. An awesome Macross, however, at least possible. As long as you don't give it to Michael Bay, who gave us "Sam Witwicky and the Glasses Some Robots Wanted."
Great job, Weinstein company. It's choices like this that make me wonder why your investors want an executive shakeup.
Anyhoo, rambling, so I'll end it here.
I weep.

Wow, do they just pick names out of a hat at random to decide who writes these things? I would really like to know what train of thought led to thinking that Astro Boy was perfect for the guy who wrote Kindergarten Cop.
But hey, Trading Places was really good! Of course it also came out 25 years ago.
Astro Boy is one of the most deceptively complex comic series ever made by anyone. Now it's in the hands of a guy who wasn't even able to write Elmer Fudd well. Ugh.

Given that Space Jam gave us Barkly- Shut up and Jam Gaiden, the game of the year if it wasn't for Brawl, I can still get behind this.

Does this mean we can expect Wayne Knight to star as a VA?
