Wow so soon nice! , I was really hoping for a remix of Ja ja Uma ni Sasenaide though.

I haven't expected them to have most of the old main cast reprising their roles.

Checked some of their X profiles, Noriko Hidaka especially seems happy.

The fact that so many of the original voice actors are coming back makes me much more excited about this remake. Now I wish they'd just announce how many cours/seasons this will run for.

Mhmmmm. MAPPA doing this raises some serious concerns, Not for the beginning parts, but for the entire production. This has to be an adaptation with well over 50 episodes and I'm not sure I trust MAPPA with something like this. I was hoping for David Pro.

In terms of artstyle and animation, I'm a bit lukewarm on the pastel aesthetic, but we'll have to see, how the entire thing looks in the end. It could easily grow on me.

The animation looks good and the staff is solid. Those are the most important parts and they seem to be very promising. It's hard to tell from the trailers, how it will compare to the original in that aspect. The snippets from the legendary school-yard rumble in the first episode looked solid, but in my memory looked more amazing in the original. Again. I'll have to see the whole sequence to make a judgement on that. It could also be nostalgia talking, since it's been some time, since I've watched it.

All in all, my expectations are high and I have a lot of hope for this adaptation. But there are definitely some red flags and concerns for me.

Characters thankfully look a lot closer to Takahashi compared to the previous anime.

Now that the Japanese cast is returning it’s time to see what Netflix does in English.

Edit: I just noticed Ranma also spawns eye shadow as a girl like in the manga.

More importantly, will this lead to a reprint of the manga?

I didn't expect the original voice actors (most of the main ones) returning!

Probably, as in Urusei Yatsura, we will have new OP, ED, but with some kind of "homage" (after all, Pony Canyon* wants to sell CDs**)

* if they still exist
** in Japan

That happened in the original anime too.

Wow

A lot of the OG cast is actually coming back for this. Must be a real nostalgic reunion for them all.

I doubt the english voice cast will return but you never know. Smile

MAPPA is a considerably bigger studio than DP is.

Looking forward to the soundtrack of the new Ramna 1/2 anime. I like that Kappei Yamaguchi is back in the new series. I wonder who will be in the English dub and if it'll air weekly with dual audio options on Netflix this October like Delicious in Dungeon released weekly in Japan and Netflix.

I think Viz started to do reprints/2nd edition of the 2-in-1 last year. The last one was Vol 5 that came out last month.

Wow, getting back the original cast is pretty crazy.

EDIT: Director Kōnosuke Uda was the original director of the One Piece anime. IMO, you should’ve mentioned that as opposed to labeling him as the director of One Piece: Dead End.
