More like just Narou writing in general.
Opening the pit of self-publishing titles for a few chosen was a mistake, and there is now nothing to prevent it.

…No, self, do not add a column for LN publisher so you can see how much of this can really be blamed on Kadokawa. You're behind enough on literally everything as it is.

OLM? Usually they adapt interesting source material (even if the adaptation itself isn't the greatest), though maybe that was all a coincidence. But I'm hoping this is a coincidence, it'd kinda suck if they just started pumping out generic fantasy/isekai.

Well, they already did the very generic stuff with The Faraway Paladin S2 - so it's not gonna be even the first stumble.

I guess Faraway Paladin was generic in a sense, but those types of fantasy anime aren't that common nowadays so it's also kinda "unique"? Usually fantasy anime tend to be more like this one, while Faraway Paladin has a different vibe.

Oh, we are talking not about the whole Faraway Paladin - because first season was not even handled by OLM to begin with.
We are talking about S2 - and yes, that thing is really generic as heck, to the point that it unapologetically just straight carbon copying of The Hobbit without anything that make it unique or entertaining.

Gleam Eyes cousin is in this so I'm disappointed Yoshitsugu isn't voicing the MC. Other than that, it seems ok.
