According to today's Famitsu interview with Wada , it's very much Kotonover on that, would cost too much and they want to move on to new projects. It's not happening. It's sad but them's the breaks. Considering the level of polish in P3R, I have to begrudgingly accept it's basically making half a new game to do it justice. |

Tetsuya Takahashi (and his wife Kaori Tanaka,) ended up being formative figures in my life. I had played games before, Crash and Spyro and similar, but Xenogears was the first time I felt truly absorbed in a game. And while that was not likely a game I had much business playing in 5th grade, it sparked lifelong interests in psychology, religion and of course, gaming. All of which to say congrats to Monolith Soft. I always look forward to whatever adventure they come up with, and hope to see them continue swinging for the fences.

It was much easier in P3P because that port was essentially a visual novel with the only actual gameplay being Tartarus. Writing dialog with still pictures is much easier and cost effective. I can't say I'm too broken up about Kotone not being in it myself since I never played as her in P3P. I'm more upset Episode Aigis was not included in the remake from the get-go and gets sold to us as DLC. |

Don't worry, there are mods for that already. |

Give us Project X Zone 3 already, please. And release it on May 27th or 29th, just in time for the 20th anniversary of Namco X Capcom.

"However, the addition of FeMC's exclusive social links with Saori and Rio and updated cutscenes don't appear likely, given it would require a lot more than just replacing existing assets." So... if thats true and not everything from her side of the game can be added then... we still miss out... I've been holding out on P3 (any game) and haven't played it becus I was waiting on this Kotone news to be confirmed or denied and now there's a mod to add her but once again, unlikely to have complete exp. Maybe someday? The q is when is said someday... hope I get to play P3 someday, sucks theres not a single definitive exp... its why I've held off on playing... |

Still sad that Endless Frontier's sequel never got localized. Finally decided to pick up a copy last time I was in Japan when I found it for a great price (and it was the LE too ).
Project X Zone was a lot of fun, but a bit tedious by the end gameplay wise. I loved all the characters, but going through ~50 characters each turn (and waiting for a similiar number of enemies to go on their turn), was definitely a case of too much of a good thing. Haven't gotten around to the sequel yet... Seeing Xenoblade X brought to the Switch (or Switch 2 at this point) would be great, but I'm more interested in a sequel to that than anything else. Hopefully they can retain that same sense of scale between being on foot and being in a mech |

Is there any particular reason you don't just play Persona 3 Portable where there is FeMC? If you really want to play Persona 3 as Kotone then that game is right there and extremely accessible on Steam and modern console platforms thanks to the recent re-release of it. |

And on a related note. Just want to say that regardless of what I want or am willing to play, Kotone should've been in P3R, fans have wanted an all in 1 ver of P3 and Atlus just didn't care and lied and made excuses. Its not the devs' fault, its the higher ups who're to blame. Least if its true fans found evidence of them trying to get Kotone into the game early into the game's life cycle. But regardless of whsoe fault it is she isn't in (Without mods), doesn't change the fact we're without an all in 1 ver of P3 which, sucks. Here's hoping the mod team working on Kotone exp. for Reload can get everything in at some point. |

When a game as old as Persona 3 gets remade, you'd expect everything to be in the remake. That's why people were shaking their fists over The Answer being revealed later a DLC and not part of the game from Day 1. Atlus has a bad rap for nickle-and-diming folks and forcing folks to double-dip. With the original Persona 3, sure, it kinda makes sense--Persona 3 FES was released while Persona 3 was being localized/released in the US. But here, it's just Atlus taking two bites at the apple. If this was just the one time FeMC had been left out of the game, even though by all accounts she's as canon to Persona 3 as any other Atlus Remake Girl (even in Persona like with Marie in P4 or Kasumi in P5), that would be one thing. But FeMC has been left to the side SINCE P3P. Persona Q2 was the first time she had been acknowledged outside of some radio dramas IIRC. She's not just a distaff Minato, she's her own character and there are plenty of interesting ways to bring her into Persona 3 proper (especially if they want to keep the themeing with Orpheus and Thanatos--I've always maintained that Minako's Persona should have been Eurydice instead of "Orpheus in a wig"). At this point, refusing to bring her back just feels like dumb "skirts are too hard to animate" junk. Everything they say feels like a cop-out, folks would have understood better if Atlus just said "Look, we just don't feel like using FeMC". And even then, hey, sure is nice to have a remake with pretensions of being "complete" that are definitively incomplete. |

Yeah, not real thrilled with the handling of the P3R DLC. Since it's stuff that is added at after the main game, we don't need to wait for some sort of expanded re-release, but just like the game itself, it is remaking existing content, so it really comes off as cutting stuff out to sell it later.
I don't know if that expansion pass will have anything more than The Answer and the outfits and songs. If not, it's a pretty flimsy "expansion pass." Outfits and songs from prior games have been a recurring DLC for Atlus for a long time now, so that part feels like just coming back to the same well. |

I generally agree, but we should know by now that's not the case for most remakes these days. The Resident Evil 2-4 remakes cut stuff from the original and 4 even sold the Ada DLC back to people as well. Usually when people complain about remakes removing or changing stuff the go-to response is to tell people to just go play the original since the remake does not replace it and they still exist. At this point it seems to be the standard, so I'm always happy when a remake comes out and actually keeps everything in additional to adding new stuff like Star Ocean The Second Story R did. Personally, I can understand why they didn't add the female MC, both due to the work it would require and from a story standpoint. Female MC is not like Marie or Kasumi because the only way she gets featured in the story is if you select her route at the start and doing so replaces the male MC entirely. She wasn't integrated into the base story like Marie and Kasumi were. Even her Q2 appearance points out she's not actually canon or exists in the actual main timeline. I'd argue FES does not have one of those re-release waifu characters, but if I had to choose one I'd say it would either be Metis or more likely Aigis herself given her starring role. In theory an ultimate version with everything would be nice. Although in terms of gameplay content missing from the original there's also the fatigue system, the simplified tactics, the choice of sports and art clubs, and the old Shuffle Time. Narrative speaking, the only change I noticed was the trans character on the beach which was probably because of Persona's growing popularity in China and their strict laws about depicting that kind of stuff in media. And the aforementioned clubs no longer giving you a choice. At the very least, it has some of the least amount of cut content I've seen in a modern remake compared to some other examples we've seen. |
