I’m interested to know how this is gonna work.

Pretty sure especially with 1 hour opener they will cover the Hashira training arc very quickly

spoiler[Id like to think they go as far as Muzans attack and they get dropped in to the infinity castle]

Would be a perfect stinger for 2 part film finale

This arc covers less than what like 11-12 chapters?

So how is this even going to work like each episode is jsut one chapter? yikes that would be like OP anime slow.

Your comparison doesn't even work even if you tried to. An average OP chapter is much more dense and Oda usually leaves out things for the anime to expand upon.

It's one of the biggest series that came out in the past few years. Nothing to be questioned...

I understand it can be hard to lock in the staff (who really do appear to be the cream of the crop in this industry) but they're milking this cow for all it's worth.

At a certain point it becomes crass capitalistic exploitation that drives the planning and pacing decisions rather than the artistic intent.

I can see this becoming the another Attack on Titan situation.

Demon Slayer Kimetsu no Yaiba The Final Arc Season 3 Part II Chapter 6:Verse 10.

A gross misuse of the source material and disrespectful to the viewer's time and investment.

The difference is that this is 100% deliberate milking from Aniplex's part. AOT's situation was just a combination of terrible production circumstances and preemptive marketing choices backfiring.

You taking my melodrama at face value does make me wonder, did the slow, dragged-out adaptation of the Swordsmith Village arc harm the viewership ratings or public opinion of Demon Slayer in any way? Was there any blowback from the Japanese side at all? (Also, does anyone know what Japanese aniwit is like? I’d like to see how criticism of popular shonen is taken over there.)

I didn't feel disrespected when I saw last season's "movie" which was just the last episodes of the previous season and the first of the new one. I went with my sister and we had a great time.

I mean, if you don't love it, nobody is requiring you to go to the theatre. Period. Just watch it when the show is released in the spring. It is very popular though and us fans really like seeing some of the animation magic on the big screen. Only a fool at this point would decide to scrap the opportunity to give fans what they want AND make money.

I don't think it harmed viewership in any meaningful way. If I recall it several times topped the charts (beating out Sazae-san - and it doesn't get much better than that). I actually liked parts of this arc better than the last one for different reasons. Folks tend to think DS is overrated for some reason or other, but it strikes a chord in its simplicity. It goes to show that sometimes a simple fairy tale can reach far deeper into our minds than we give it credit for.

are we having attention deficiency?
the promo image is for the world tour screening of the last episode of previous season together with the first episode of the upcoming one.
that image of nezuko and tanjiro are clearly their version from the last episode of previous season.

is it aniplex or ufotable?
also I don't understand how they are milking this?
sure the "special screening world tour" they did last season and now is a form of milking, but it's a seperate screening in theaters, you don't have to watch it and it doesn't affect the season itself.

and when it comes to the seasons themselves I didn't really notice any milking? if swordsmith village felt like it was dragging, you should blame the source material, not aniplex, because as far as I remember the season was pretty much 1 to 1 with the manga, they barely added any anime-only scenes.

so yeah I'm not sure what milking you're talking about.

I dislike your insulting manner but I do thank you for telling me about the purpose of the promo image.
