I really hope they'll make something nice out of it and make every scene consistent. Lowering the work load like this should not give you a pass of missing details.

I hope it flops or they get sued personally.
I don't even want stuff like this to get bad reviews because I don't even think critics should watch it.

3DCG and Generative AI? So everything fans hate in one package. I don’t see this ending well.

Hey, speak for yourself. Generative AI is pretty fun.
I mean, it can't be as bad as Ex-Arms or any of those shows that were made by actual people, right?

I can't tell if you're being sarcastic, but all the visual flaws of shows like ex arm, and really any bad anime are likely to be replicated in AI because the people "making them".... can't actually "make". For example, one thing I tend to dislike about a lot of anime is costumes with no verisimilitude, stuff like weird floating sleeves. The promo pic absolutely replicates a lot of flaws I see visually with naff light novel adaptions, for one thing the character isn't "residing inside their environment", they're literally on a seperate layer, sure, its a poster and liberties are often taken (eg floating heads), but I have a feeling these issues will add up.
Lets say the windows subtely clash with the tone of your show, maybe you want a sort of "cottagey" rural anime setting, and the AI generates vaguely churchy, arched windows you feel clash with they look your going for, an artist can just... draw different windows. AI users can't just redraw the windows. I have a feeling they're going to cgi a base, for example some basic buildings and anime girls, animate it and render all the shots and then use ai to "regenerate" every frame, making sure to add "pixiv" to the prompt. If the tone and look of feel of the windows is subtely wrong, then are you manually going to "inpaint" each window on each frame one by one.
These subtle tonal mismatches because the "thing" drawing them isn't a living, sentient being at all will likely slowly add up creating a strange uncanny feeling where everything lacks verisimilitude.

When the environment in the key visual is already fundamentally broken then this gives you an idea what you should expect.

Can't wait to count the number of animation errors per episode. -_-

Even their promo image looks like garbage. Like, what is going on with that girl's legs?

So instead of paying animators livable wages or giving them more production lead-time, this is what they come up with for "reducing workloads"?
Genuinely, I'm not sure what'd be the point of something like this. Oh, I know why companies are pushing for this -- because the Japanese anime industry is in dire straits right now with more anime made than ever before but experienced folks retiring and new ones burning out too quickly to ever replace them, but that's an issue with working conditions that's eminently fixable; the industry just wants to maximize profit so it doesn't bother. But I have no idea why any consumer would want to watch something like this; there's already dozens of derivative, yawn-inducing series coming out every season, and they just want to add more to the pile? Really, what's the point?

Enough time has passed, I can now safely say that this project had failed to make and splash. Like, any splash. I'm not even sure it even came out even tho it says in the article that it was gonna come out in January and the goal was to have a more or lass faster production time. There is nothing about this anime anywhere else on the internet.
