I saw it in theaters back in March or so. Definitely enjoyed it, worth seeing if you're curious about it, but it was just kind of, "We made Weathering With You again."

Eh, I wouldn't quite go that far. This film had a somewhat darker tone than Weathering with you, especially near the end. On top of that the main protagonist in both films had completely different motivations. One wanted to save the world, the other only wanted to save his love. The only true comparison you can really draw between the two films is art style.

Overrated film, leave it be. There are much better films out there.

If Crunchyroll is trying to get this ready for awards season, they should hold off on the rerelease a few more months.

Makes more sense than having another screening of Suzume in the same year. And I for one would kill to see it in theaters one more time.

Amazing film, not quite a masterpiece like Your Name, but still gorgeous and emotional. Highly recommended for those who haven't seen it.

Okay, but I mean... when you go into a thread about movie A just to say "I don't want movie A, give us movie B instead," someone's bound to pull an uno-reverse on you.

This was my favorite of the three that are constantly compared to each other--Your Name was a little too paint-by-numbers and Weathering was a little too directionless, but Suzume has a good balance. Worth seeing if you missed it the first time. I probably don't need to go to a third showing, though...

Here's hoping they don't wait too long to release the Blu-ray. And that the Blu-ray gets an UK release for easier importing for me. And while I'm hoping for things, might as well also hope that there's a good collector's edition or at least a steelbook. (Sadly unlikely considering the current state of Crunchyroll UK...)
