It’s long been time for this franchise to move on IMO. For me, Ash’s story ended when Misty left, and Veronica Taylor being replaced as his voice only sealed the deal.

Ash's story had a long way to go beyond that point, and the only people who would argue otherwise are shippers who desperately needed to move on.

For what it's worth, the situation with James Carter Cathcart's characters is pretty ambiguous, I don't think we've gotten confirmation weather he voices all of his original roles or not (Though I believe he's still in the credits?) - James in particular sounds like he's been recast.

The episodes themselves were fine, though more meandering than I would have expected for a wrap-up to Ash's Journey. It would had been nice to at least have a new traveling companion join the main three for each ep like Cilan did. Ash's choice at the last episode to spoiler[end his journey, go home and the start a new journey maybe a day later] sure was a choice, lol.

Unfortunately TCPi mishandles every attempt at nostalgia this show makes, exemplified Michele Knotz's Misty being incredibly grating to listen to (Which is weird because her Jessie is pretty good). I'll never quite get over how lackluster the anime has been handled by TCPi compared to 4Kids (which is an amazingly low bar...) but at least Horizons will be a fresh start.

What's wrong with the music in the English dub? Why are you upset over that?

This really would have been the perfect time to make amends with the original cast. There was enough room to bring everyone back without snubbing the new actors.

They could’ve let Michele stay on as Jessie but had Rachael back for Misty, since it’s not like Michele handled the role for more than a few episodes. Keep Bill Rogers as Brock, but let Eric Stuart take over for James since Carter needed to bow out anyway. Finally, leave Ash with Sarah because she’s played him longest, but have Veronica back as Delia.

Glad it's over. At least we got Ted Lewis back as Tracey after 17 years.

It is simply inferior to the Japanese OST. Especially since the sub gets to use game OSTs as well while the dub just... doesn't.

Calm down. Losing one of the original trio and the original voice of Ash (in the dub) was too much change for A LOT of OG Pokemon fans. It is perfectly reasonable to fall out with Pokemon after that...and it has NOTHING to do with shipping 12 year old children.

If you were able to continue after that, cool.

So it's not good at all because it doesn't use the music from the games? Would you like it future dubs on Pokemon use the OSTs from the main games like the English subs? Why TPCi use generic music in dubs?
