OP went back to 3.5% from the 3.9% the week before that despite doing its big-ticket power-up right this time and having near cinema-ready animation. If this doesn´t show that the adaptation stumbled a bit here then I don´t know what is.

Does anyone know when the earliest point of the night is for "midnight anime" to air? I get why Jujutsu Kaisen can´t air in time for dinner but it´s hardly adult enough that the final hour of the 19:00–22:00 "golden time" slot is inappropriate. Dito for Bleach TYBW. Jump´s very own Chainsaw-man is of course another matter. A 24:00 show and one of the rare MAPPA shows that fully committed to gore and went a bit above the manga with it.

Depends on the station - but considering Spy X Family was a "midnight anime" that ran at 23:00, or Demon Slayer Swordsmith Village at 23:15 - it's around 11 PM JST.

Midnight anime? I thought Spy would be popular to all demographies considering the cast and how the violence tends to be comical. That's not even mentioning Anya's characterization which made her one of the most popular kid characters ever.

Well, that's the whole irony of it - while Spy X Family content was relatively tame, it was actually a late-night anime show, because TV Tokyo (like basically all others) doesn't really have enough evening slots for the anime to begin with outside of Friday and weekends, which is filled with the usual stuff like Boruto or Pokemon - and they only realized it's potential after it successfully broke into ratings even with running at 11 PM, while giving it the prime evening timeslot only for its rerun.
