A bigger drop than Bumblebee. I guess people didn't care for the ending much. I know I didn't. But Transformers is a film franchise that does a lot better overseas than domestically anyway so the domestic market doesn't matter much.

The weekend was really, really crowded and I’m wondering where else Paramount could have put the film, not helped by Mission Impossible next month.

Still outdid Flash and Elemental by quite a bit.

Paramount marketed the movie heavily in Latin America, especially since the film has several key scenes in Peru. Not to mention that they hired two Mexican celebrities to voice Arcee and Mirage, but they also great emphasis to the dub actor who plays Optimus Prime, Blas García and Airazor is voiced by the original actress who dubbed her in Beast Wars. Still, there's been plenty of competition at the movies with Spider-Verse and the release of The Flash and Elemental. This summer, or winter for people on the other side of the Ecuador, has been pretty packed, it's not wonder why movie's profits are so low compared to other years.

Are people really watching Flash and Elemental though? I heard those are doing pretty bad.
