I trust that this'll be good, but after how badly I got burned by Ittoki last season, I think I'm gonna step back from any ninja anime that isn't Naruto or ecchi for a while.

I'm all for acknowledging a Takahashi work, but you left out Yu-Gi-Oh! ZeXal, which Kuwabara directed from 2011-2014.

Comparing apples to oranges here though, honestly - while Ittoki is literally anything but not a ninja anime (really, the whole concept of becoming "ninja" there is just to get the super-powered suit), UN is more into doing it with "hyperrealistic" style (this is Hanazawa manga after all, so if you read I am a Hero before, you know the approach) where ninjas are basically rogue specops agency without any actual "ninjutsu" stuff.
