A new Frontier anime perhaps?
That's unexpected.

Also, haven't seen Ghost Game, but Gammamon has such a great design.

No, the reason Frontier is getting representation here is because we're still in the tail-end of its 20th anniversary celebration.
The past year has seen a lot of Frontier goods and promotions to celebrate.

Ghost Game is worth watching, probably the best showing the franchise had since Tamers. The sort of episodic structure may or may not be for you, however.

It would be nice if they just confirm who Izumi (No, not Koushiro, the Frontier Izumi) ends up with. The recent Blu-ray drama CD from 2019 did not answer anything despite the spoiler[lengthy time skip to college/work life]. I don't feel like waiting for 32k Blu-ray release within the next 20 years to finally give us the answer.

I take it you did not watch last years event with Tamers (20th anniversary) where all they did was talk about it.

Nah, Frontier was pretty kino. And had some of the best music in the franchise.
Looking forward to the new projects.

I'm just wondering if they might announce the rest of the dub cast for the Adventures reboot. Last I checked they only announced Tai and Agumon.

Ghost Game is definitely not the best thing the franchise has had since Tamers.

Sure it has one episode every 15 that’s worth watching, but even then every episode is resolved with such a “Wow, how did we get out of that one” attitude that they just feel so garbage.

Don’t even get me started on Angoramon feeling the need to drop a dumb life lesson or something after every incident whether it gets led into or not (more often the case that it comes out of nowhere)

The epitome of “intended for kids, but we’ll sprinkle some stuff that older fans would want to see, and treat it like trash”

Besides the Adventure 2020 dub being announced at last year's Digimon Con, nothing important was announced so I would not expect anything important this time either. The most I would expect is maybe a new trailer for the new Adventure 02 movie but even that is probably asking for too much from this.

One person said it was the best, another, the worst. I'll even it out and say it's in the middle. If you go into it expecting a Yokai Watch/Gegege no Kitaro sort of show you'll be fine and it's good at that. If you're expecting something like a traditional Digimon show you'll be disappointed. Jellymon is easily the best thing about it.

I have consistently enjoyed it for the past 60+ episodes, so it is doing something right. It has fun main characters and neat body horror. But don't expect much in the way of plot development.

Jellymon is awesome, but I think Angoramon is my favorite.

I haven't followed anything Digimon in years so I have no idea what kinda stuff they tend to announce at these events and how much of it is focused on the international market.
So, any chance they might announce an international release for the color screen virtual pet here?

As someone who's favorite season is Tamers and who is enjoying Ghost Game, I promise Digimon fans there's more than two good seasons of Digimon in existence. You can easily tell which fans skipped over Data Squad and Appmon.

I enjoyed the OG Adventure (not the 2020 reboot) and Tamers, I didn't like 02 and Frontier was just OK. Didn't seen Data Squad or Fusion and tried to get into Appmon (App Monsters) but it wasn't for me after seeing at least around 7 episodes. So to me, only the original Adventure and Tamers are my favorites so far. As for Ghost Game, I stopped watching it after the first 21 episodes due to how little plot progression was. I was hoping things might turn around later on but it felt like I'm not missing much on story after 60+ episodes with very little progression.

Appmon in particular was a travesty to the franchise, thankfully they saw that and took it behind the shed.

Conversely, you can tell the type of people who love garbage like Appmon but maintain that Frontier is unwatchable. Frontier is fine, it has some weak moments but is fine overall. The hate is all a carryover of Digiboomer takes.
