The anime will stream in Japan on Netflix and other services, and outside of Japan on Netflix and Crunchyroll, among other services.
I hope one of the other services will also be Hidive, because while the Netflix dub did have its pros I fount the Sentai dub in general to be better. Though Crunchyroll might end up doing their own dub, which could mean season 2 would end having a maximum of 3 dubs.

I'm betting that if Amazon hadn't have got season 1, Netflix would have got that and this as exclusives.

edit: Oh so it is only Netflix and CR. I hate Netflix., I wish Amazon had gotten this again, then Sentai could just sub-license it.

Well, not 100 percent true. Crunchyroll will be streaming Vinland Saga season 2 Worldwide except Asia. Wink

Where did you get this ANN since the site your sourcing directly says nothing of the sort?

The Official site says CR will stream it Worldwide except Asia just like Netflix & CR's own blog post lists territories: North America, Central America, South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East and CIS

Yeah, the article seems to confuse the Crunchyroll streaming territories of seasons 1 and 2. For S2 the website explicitly says Crunchyroll will stream it "worldwide except Asia".

I wonder if Crunchyroll will also acquire wider streaming rights to S1 to have both seasons on the platform in more territories than just French- and German-speaking Europe. Neither Netflix's nor Hidive's license is exclusive so it's definitely possible.

I could see that being a real possibility in the future, since its clear no one can claim exclusive S1 rights and I could see CR wanting to have S1 just like it now has S2.

The anime's website initially and specifically listed Crunchyroll as streaming season 2 in "Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Luxembourg, Liechtenstein, Alto Adige France, Belgium, Netherlands, Luxembourg, Switzerland, Monaco, Andorra" on Monday at 9:00 p.m. JST (8:00 a.m. EDT). It updated with the current listing ("Worldwide except Asia") less than 20 minutes later.

I also had a look at the website once the official twitter account posted about it and remember season 2 being listed as WW x Asia from the beginning. I think ANN maybe got it confused with the rights of S1 for CR which is only streaming on French- and German-speaking CR.

Something like that happens, we are all just humans. Who cares, now it's at leas listed right in the article.

The official Twitter account did not post about overseas streaming until at little after 9:00 p.m. JST (8:00 a.m. EDT). At that time, the anime's website had not updated to list season 2 on Crunchyroll for "Worldwide except Asia."

The JP account posted the streaming availability at exact 9:01 p.m. JST (8:01 a.m. EDT). https://twitter.com/V_SAGA_ANIME/status/1584515297238691840

Urgh, who cares; it wasn't right in the article, and now it is after some delay. That's it.

Yes, Crunchyroll confirmed with ANN that the anime's website listing was corrected after 9:00 p.m. JST (8:00 a.m. EDT).

Looking good! I think the new OP fits the vibe of this arc quite a bit, especially since it's different from the first season.

I'm glad I can stream it on Crunchyroll, but does that mean we'll be getting two different dubs again? Will Crunchyroll use a more Funimation-based cast while Netflix uses their LA cast? Or will Crunchy try to bring back the Sentai cast?

In swoops Sentai with their own dub. Laughing
