This is a huge surprise, but as a BIG fan of Tutu, I'm just happy to see it get some love after all these years. I hope it sells well! <3

Same here! More love, exposure, etc is wonderful! Still love that AMV from so many years ago that I saw that introduced me to the show.

It's cool to see it get recognition like this. Princess Tutu was one of my favorite shows of the 2000s, and I still look on it fondly. I'm looking forward to seeing the event when it happens. May have to hope for someone to sub it, though.

A shame that the OP/ED singer can't be part of this celebration
Quote: | The series was released on DVD by AEsir Holdings in 2016. The story follows 13-year-old ballet student Ahiru, a clumsy, good-hearted and sweet girl with a big secret. |
Never mind that Princess Tutu was first released in the US by ADV back in 2005, or that the main character is called (quite rightly, as part of a European fairytale setting) Duck in the official subtitle translations and English dub.

I adore that this show is still loved 20 years later. (Gah I feel old now...)

Btw, about Yuri Shiratori...
She was so active in 90s, up to early - mid 2000s, and then just sort of disappeared from the radar.
What happened?

Would be awesome if they read letters/posts from foreigners as well, although that may be difficult depending on language and fluency.

Aging, I would guess. She turned 35 in 2003, and that's about when a lot of Japanese female VAs start getting nudged out in favor of younger, cheaper talent. Gotta have fresh faces for the seiyuu-otakus at those live events. She may have gotten married and had one or more children around that time, but I wouldn't know.
