Uwaaaaaaa that announcer was scary!! *hides under the table*

COMING SOON, eh? I guess overseas companies are clamoring for it? Or... could it be that Gonzo might actually have an overseas release?! THAT WOULD BE AMAZING.

i don't get it, is there some kind of bidding war for it? it's pretty obvious there's something going on with all this promotion.

Well, I didn't find him scary, per se, but his voice definitely surprised me. Anime dazed

What was with the "COMING SOON" near the end of the trailer? Perhaps an R1 licensing announcement is pending or something?

I hope to God an R1 license really is in the works. And that it's not Bandai Visual who wants it.

I wouldn't be surprised at all if there's a bunch of companies trying to license it right now. It's a really, really well done show. Beautiful animation, great characters, and an interesting story (tinkered with it enough to make it interesting, but it's still recognizable)...I can see this possibly being really popular here in the US.

Yeah, I was just looking into who is getting the rights to this as well.

Based upon prior releases, I would have to say either Funimation or Pioneer will probably get the rights to this. But ADV has deep pockets too.

I swear, if Geneon gets this show, I'm going to be extremely upset.

They already ruined Count of Monte Cristo by hiring Bang Zoom to do the dub, they shouldn't get another chance with a Gonzo literary classic adaptation.

... I'm a little surprised they didn't translate all of the speech between the characters (as that entertained me the most, lol), but I'm glad that the special was subtitled. I always enjoy things like that on DVDs (because I know I'll never really go out of my way to find the names of the Character Designer/Producer/etc.).

Man, it's awesome everytime I watch it! I really do hope that the dub doesn't disappoint.

Me, too. Some of the more minor characters I don't mind if they have weaker performances, but...the show's pretty driven by Romeo and Juliet's character development. If those two characters are miscast...the dub's going to have some major trouble.

Of course, I could always watch the Japanese version, but...I'd still like to see this anime get the sort of dub it deserves.

It looks pretty interesting. Excellent Character Designs, Musical score, and cool OP song (an Olympic one to boot). Too bad the show is at 2:45am.

I can't wait to see the subtitled version.

The online preview was good, but I have one gripe. Stop doing that repeat talking. I get it that the Anime will do well. It seems unneeded. The English sub titles are a bit slow.

my only gripe sort of with this anime is the using of Shakespeare's story. it seem sort of nonexistent for me. this could have seriously been as good without it from what i see so far.

i am certain that one group probably has a lot of interest in it as gonzo titles seem to get gobble up pretty fast.

Sort of nonexistent? If this show was titled, say, 'Kazuya x Ayame' only those people would find it similar to 'Romeo and Juliet 'who call every story in which the lovers can't be together a "Romeo and Juliet story." It's kind of annoying to see the show advertise itself as "story by WILLIAM SHAKESPEARE" when it has pretty much nothing to do with the Shakespeare play, aside from the names.

(And then there's all that name dropping. I'm sure the writers thought they were very clever, and I'm sure there are some people who think they're very clever for recognizing names and titles from different Shakespeare plays in the show. Still, it would've been nice if the name droppings served some real purpose other than making the audience go "oh oh I know that name!")
