Very fast turnaround. Given the show’s rather notable momentum (Top 10 in worldwide TV shows, strong social media), maybe they thought capitalizing on the momentum was wise. Maybe this means a Season 2 announcement sooner rather than later.

Green: They have to clear the names in JoJo, while metal isn't as big as it used to be.

Jojo's schedule is super behind schedule according to animators working on it, the second batch isn't even done yet, meanwhile that's not the case for Bastard.

OK, this is just blatantly making things up. We don't know why Bastard!!'s translation is less apprehensive about the music references than JoJo, though they still aren't 100% blatant about everything (see: "Guns N' Ro"), and we likely never will. Overall, it likely just comes down to the fact that they are two different productions headed up by completely different producers & translated by completely different translators, so they have completely different priorities when it comes to this kind of stuff.

Also, JoJo & Bastard!! literally make some of the same references, so I guess we'll just have to hope that more Bastard!! anime gets made beyond this second batch of episodes, as in the second & third arcs we see a floating island called King Crimson Glory, and we know what happened to that reference in JoJo: Golden Wind's anime.

Bastard was a huge inspiration for mangas & j-rpg styles & characters back in the day (late 80's / esrly 90's ??)

... see even Naruto getting inspired a bit, besides ofc Berserk.., Bastard is a classic, nice to see it (finally) getting a gud anime

... read on some press calling it "generic".., that's like calling super mario bros NES generic ... lol

... gawd, .. really hope this gets more seasons

Good to see. I heard the first half basically covered the same content as the previous OVA, so it will be nice to see more of the manga covered.

The first half covered the first five (of six) episodes from the OVA.

We need more sword and sorcery genre in the age of Isekai anime.
