This is one I'm really looking forward to so I'm very happy I just paid for a year of HiDive.

HiDive is stepping up their game. Love to see Crunchyroll geting competition. Just hipe they don't give up on licencing hardcore ecchi stuff. Veirmil gives me hope, but I really hope they don't change on that front.

I was hoping Hidive would get Isekai Meikyū de Harem o but it seems like CR managed to nab it. Probably going to get the "TV broadcast ver." with censored video and audio.

Considering they got the previous season of Takagi-san, I guess they wanted to get another show in a similar vein from the same author.

Nice to see Sentai picking up more significant licenses although I've seen some dub fans complain about this killing the shows' chance of getting a dub (if you at all care about that).

Lol tell me about it. I regularly browse the r/Animedubs subreddit and I'm seeing quite a lot of people shit on Sentai recently for picking up more good titles this coming season because they are less likely going to get dubbed. It's a unanimous fact that they need to expand their dubbing capacity especially if they are going to be "Dubcasts", which is what they call their simuldubs, but I'm just glad they have become more competitive against the newly merged Crunchyroll monopoly and will prompt more people to get a HIDIVE subscription in order to watch these new shows. At the end of the day, it's just business.

I agree 1000%. Competition is a great thing. For the last 4 years Sentai/HIDIVE have licensed 4-5 shows per season and have dubbed half of those. It only makes sense to dub more titles if they are going to start licencing 10+ shows per season.

Frankly I love seeing more anticipated titles go to HiDive but I do hope they expand their dubbing operations. I was very bummed that Kongming wasn’t dubbed and a little bummed that I’m Quitting Heroing wasn’t either. Though I can’t blame them for prioritizing sequels.

Since Crunchyroll seems intent on dubbing mostly in-house in Texas, it would be great if Sentai would commission dubs from Kocha Sound, Sound Cadence and other studios that were helping FUNimation’s load before.

Kongming is a musical anime, so I can totally see why they didn't dub that.
