This is a mess and a boneheaded move by the manga shame as he does good art but this might get him canned.

They're probably talking about the recent controversy written in the article.

this article should be pulled off ANN. the author should be censured by the head of the News Department. the editor who approved the article should be castigated severely, and ANN should print a public apology.

the entire purpose titularly is to give information about a printed manga hiatus. the ONLY information about said hiatus is the FIRST SENTENCE!

NOTHING is stated 'yes/no/we don't know' if the mangaka Himura-sensei will be halting the Twitter posts of new art. these Twitter posts are the ORIGINAL and FRESH NEW content that the printed manga MERELY COLLECTS into tankobon format and electronically/physically publishes later.

2nd paragraph, boilerplate filler ANN uses to fill up space about a franchise.

3rd paragraph, same as the 2nd.

4th paragraph and the rest of the ENTIRE ARTICLE... so called controversy about a full page ad for Tawawa print manga bla bla bla... i already read this stuff when the FIRST ARTICLE came out about said controversy. OLD REHASHED NEWS!

new news to me... finally in this article... after the first sentence... BURIED IN THE BODY!

Paragraph 6 ok politician gives opinion, WHAT OPINION? oh there's a link to the opinion article. wow. such crafty writing, if i wanna know annnything... CLICK HERE... that's the dam definition of clickbait! horrible writing there.

Paragraph 7 yes! more new news to me... so why didn't you write Paragraph 6 like this one? clear information bias FOR a mangaka looking to get into politics. by word-count alone the article's author gives more weight and credence to Akamatsu-sensei's views than the SEATED politician Fujisue-san opinion(s). OBVIOUSLY a case of information bias.

if you folks reading this don't know what information bias is, that's when you write a whole article about Subject A BUT you only write one line about Subject B. sound familiar? this ARTICLE ITSELF shows BLATANT information bias. Subject A, the controversy around the Tawawa advertisement, Subject B the print manga hiatus. see what i mean? this article is supposed to be about Subject B the hiatus, but the whole thing is about Subject A the advertisement controversy.

Paragraphs 8 and 9 more boilerplate about the franchise.

i thank you for your time spent reading this,
have a pleasant day,
KS

This. The series went on a 5-week hiatus last year from April to June as well. It has nothing to do with that 'controversy'. The only thing that came out of that was Tawawa got a huge boost in sales.

Yeah, the article at first made it seem like the author was on hiatus due to that thing with the UN group.

Also, is it really a controversy when some unknown (to most people) UN group complains about Japanese anime/manga. The April stuff didn't seem to gain any traction. Not hearing about any Twitter wars on this. If some religious PTA group complains about Japanese manga corrupting the youth of America, is that a controversy?
