Considering it's just the one variant, it feels more like they're just desperately trying to make "Fetch" happen.

Titan isn’t a very big comic company, are they? It could be that’s the only license they have with mainstream attention. The Bebop LA series is dead and the Netflix audience has moved on. I won’t begrudge the comic company for trying to squeeze the last bite of life out of it. |

So the comic is now more successful than the live action show it was based on. Not that this is saying much.

Unfortunately that's one of the most effective ways to make money in the comic industry |

Correct: Titan (in the form of Titan Books/Comics/Magazines/Publishing/Entertainment/etc.) has been around since the early 80s in the UK, and when it comes to comics they have always mostly handled TV show and game licenses (Doctor Who, Dark Souls, etc.) along with a handful of original/creator-owned IPs that have never received mainstream attention as far as I know. |

I mostly know Titan from their reprints of Modesty Blaise comic strips.

I've been trying to pre-order this so many times.
I enjoyed the LA series so if this is a continuation then I'm for buying it. |

I should see if amazon has a listing for this comic.

There's actually a bunch of people who want Netflix to continue Cowboy Bebop
https://www.nbcnews.com/news/asian-america/100000-fans-petition-netflix-bring-back-cowboy-bebop-rcna11401 Reviews really doesn't matter to Netflix - it's all about viewers. Case in point, another title that premiered the same month as Bebop but with even worse critique scores: Red Notice But guess what happened? 'Red Notice' is now Netflix's most watched movie of all time Netflix viewers march to their own beat. Always remember 2 words: Tiger King |

I think the more apt comparison is Jupiter's Legacy which started with a high view count, only for those views to taper off due to extremely poor word of mouth, and combined with its very high budget (over $200 million USD for the season, even if the wigs would make one think otherwise) it was canceled due to the poor cost-to-return ratio. I imagine Bebop faced a similar cost-to-return ratio, and unlike Red Notice lacked big-name stars like The Rock and Gal Gadot to carry interest.
