Dead by Daylight but DBZ? I'm actually kinda on board with this idea.

Guess they were tired of recycling the same ideas over and over. Even Gintama kept referencing the line "I'm now really angry! Frieza!"

I have no idea how this will go in execution, but the premise has some merit to it. Some of the villains started out going after regular people before the fighting got going, and characters like Oolong and Bulma could bring special abilities into it that will be recognizable from the series.
The part about using save data from Xenoverse 2 is interesting. It wouldn't be the first time they have used the premise of that game to do a bit of a cross over.

This is... unexpected. Could be interesting but online games really aren't my thing. Here's hoping a Kakarot sequel is in the works... would really love to see that concepts iterated on... lotta room for improvement there.

I guess it's nice to see they're trying to do something different with the franchise even if a survival game with civilian characters isn't what I was expecting.
So, Cell was an obvious choice but you've also got Frieza and Buu so I'm guessing they also transform into their stronger forms whenever they succeed in killing someone.

I don't see why the runners aren't the lower powered heroes looking for dragon balls in order to banish the hunter or to power up for a fighting chance against the hunter.

That's how I felt about Dead by Daylight, and in my own experience I was right. Yet that game is still incredibly popular and some people have played it for hundreds of hours.
This one might at least offer a few more options for the survivors than running, hiding and fixing generators. THAT gets incredibly dull for me.

At least in my mind, I'm envisioning something where it may have situations where the survivors have to go on the offensive. The trailer shows Cell in each form, but two of those required absorbing Androids 17 and 18 to accomplish, instead of absorbing regular people like he did at first. It could make an interesting twist where 17 and 18 get dropped into the map, and then survivors switch from avoiding Cell to having to try to find a way to keep him from absorbing the Androids.
