I got my seat reserved. I’m really looking forward to seeing this. I used to own it on VHS.

I'm definitely gonna go. Haven't seen this movie in a long time.

Going! Never actually watched the movie but I owned the OVA series. Back then I refused to buy the movie for a few extra minutes and I tend to not like compilation anime movies besides. Little did I know that Macross would vanish from stores in the US completely at the time.

I watched SDF Macross six years ago, but haven't seen Plus in any form. I'll try to take advantage of this opportunity to see it for the first time.

On Fathom my local theater is listed but the buy tickets button is blacked out and if you hit it says, "online ticketing for this location is being setup, please try back later." !!!!
Its a modern AMC theater so I know it's not not a technology issue with the location, there is another theater across town I can buy from but I don't want to drive that far if the one 10min away will have it available, eventually.
The other locations didn't seem to be selling out so probably not a rush, but at same time I want to secure my spot, and I sort of wish it would sell out so that prompts them to bring more Macross to the big screen!

Macross Plus is an all-time favorite of mine, but a four-hour 275-mile round-trip to the nearest showing theater on a work day simply ain't happening. Plus I haven't washed the taste out of my mouth from the incredibly low-quality Transformers: The Movie showing I went to a while back.

My local theater hasn't shown anime since Ghiblifest 2018, but even so, I only had to drive about 40 minutes each way to see Promare back in September. I wasn't going to drive that in winter for Macross, so I was very happy to see my theater is actually showing it.
