I wonder why it's taking them 3 years to come out.

This feels like a personal monkey paw situation; finally got a release date, but it is still a ways off. I'm bummed, but at least now we know.

Also, low-key hilarious that Ultraseven is front & center in the key visual.

Most likely because COVID-19 screwed the mo-cap production.

All the CG shows were delayed like mad. It's also why AAA games struggle right now. The way they are done doesn´t fit a Covid regulation shooting schedule.

I doubt it, since the second Season of Ultraman was announced in June 2019, just two months after the first season came out so this was before the COVID-19 pandemic happened in 2020. Plus when another season for an anime is announced usually they take 2-4 years to come out due to the amount of work and animation they put in.

It is?

Eventhough many AAA games before the pandemic were rushed out to market, had questionable aspects like microstransactions, or designed within a toxic workplace environment.

I wonder if they'll recast Taro or if they'll keep Tatsuhisa Suzuki in the role because he was honestly a really good fit for Taro before all this stuff went down. Either way, I'm really excited. I really liked the next stretch of the manga so if the anime can do it justice, that'd be excellent.
