I was worried there for a while. Nothing was said until the very day it aired. Hearing them really takes me back.

Ironically, the second OP does recycle a couple of shots from the first one, for those of us who wondered if the first one would just mix new animation sequences in with the old.

The zoom out of child Shiki (which was a zoom in in Op1) and mother are the only reused shots I spotted. Hardly worth pointing out, honestly, as it's almost entirely new animation.

That said, while I really like the animation for OP2 and I'm hyped for the upcoming arcs, I still prefer OP1. I'll probably grow fonder of OP2 the more I listen to it. But ED2 is an instant winner for me. Not even compared to ED1 since they're so different in terms of tone. As a manga reader, ED2 had me in tears, no lie.
