The main character is seen always eating them and they acutally had a conversation about them in the first episode. Man, I want to see more of this show. Definitely a project worthly of Utada's songs, she's the best!

Freedom is based on an Cup Noodle advertising campaign that was made awhile ago. |

I didn't think that it was based on the campaign ad. Nisshin is interested in providing food for the space program, hence the Cup Noodles frequently displayed in the episodes and sponsorship of the title. It's a perfect tie-in imo.
Yeah! More Utada is a good thing.
