JFC, somebody please take the franchise away from Kyouda. It's been 15 years and he still doesn't get what made the original good.

I thought that Dai Sato being involved with these would finally make a difference, but after reading about them I NOPE'd the hell away from them just like I have with everything else since the original series. Which is such a shame, it's a modern (okay not really I'm old) classic and one of my all-time favorite shows.

I'm really interested in the technical aspects of these new movies, but yeah, the story just doesn't seem to tug the heartstrings like the original series did.

Will this movie finally bring things together and justify this trilogy? Or be yet another dud continuation of Eureka 7 that doesn't even come close to matching the original?

Why does this film series even exist?
They've already ruined the (modern masterpiece of an) original series three or four times at this point... and who the hell decided to reuse 17 year-old 4:3 footage TV in a theatrical movie...

I'm so happy to see a hand-drawn Mech show in the modern era, maybe once they have finished with this, this department can work on Full Metal panic.

Maybe they want their own long running Mecha franchise like Gundam. Or Dai Saito may have some big plans for the series.

Then they should have done a better job of recapturing what made the original great...
