It's sad to see how many great people passed away, some were pretty old but others died young, but at least we can remember them.
I want to mention some Latin American voice actors who passed away this year. Luis Alfonso Mendoza, who voiced teenage Gohan in DBZ, Kon in Bleach, Leonardo in the '80 TMNT series and Bugs Bunny in various productions was killed alongside his wife Lourdes Adame in early 2020. Armando Acosta, a voice actor and announcer who sadly died due to Covid. And Cesar Arias, who voiced Kempachi in Bleach, the third Hokage in Naruto, Dumbledore in all the Harry Potter movies, among many others roles, passed away on December 20. They all will be missed

It's very sad to see a lot of people passed away in 2020. I hope for 2021 we don't lose any more people in the anime/manga fandom community.

It still surprises me that none of the seiyū passed away from the COVID-19 yet.

This list does include voice actors, actors, and others that passed away due to COVID-19. There are also many who died due to an unspecified illness, which is likely related to the pandemic in some cases. This list overall is about 50% longer than it is in more typical years.

I made a little spelling mistake, his name was Amando Acosta, he voiced Spock in Star Trek Discovery and Martian Manhunter in Justice League Dark: Apokolips War and Superman: Man of Tomorrow.

Outside of Anime, we lost Chadwick Boseman, someone who I think tried to make the most of his life when he was on borrowed time.

It's sad to see so many great people die this year in the animation industry. Zac Bertschy may he rest in peace.

I am not sure! As far as I know, pretty much every seiyū in Japan who dealt with the COVID-19 survived the disease. In fact, the only confirmed victims of the disease seiyū industry-wise were two local celebrities (Ken Shimura and Kumiko Okae). The latter was even erroneously reported as being one of Officer Jenny's seiyū. How about that?
