Nice Teshirogi. I know Kurumada quite old but it's a shame that Lost Canvas surpassed vanilla in length. Then again, I don't know if Episode G keeps having sequels. I had problems trying to understand the sequel of Episode G so I dropped that one.

Episode.G has also surpassed the original Saint Seiya in total length long ago, since the first series is 21 volumes & Assassin is another 16. However, taking Next Dimension into account, Kurumada's Saint Seiya is currently as 40 volumes total, which does put it as still longer than Episode.G's 37 volumes total, though Lost Canvas with the Gaiden spin-off does still beat all of them, as of this moment, with 41 volumes total.

That being said, Saint Seiya is not Masami Kurumada's longest total series, as that would still be Ring ni Kakero 1 & 2, which total to 51 volumes.

The original Saint Seiya Kurumada manga had far greater success than Lost Canvas, Episode G, etc.

Kurumada's Saint Seiya has sold over 35 million copies, which is why at the merchandise level after many years products on Kurumada's Saint Seiya continue to be released.

On the other manga Lost Canvas, Episodio G, etc almost nothing comes out as merchandise.

Considering Next Dimension we are at 41, so Kurumada is equal to the teshirogi in length, because there is a volume of Next Dimension that made it but it has yet to be published.

As a success Kurumada is far superior to Teshirogi and the other authors who have worked on Saint Seiya.

I personally liked Lost Canvas more than the original manga, I wish if Teshirogi works on Heaven's chapter (Zeus' Arc)

The Heaven's chapter has already begun master Kuramada in Saint Seiya Next Dimension the canonical continuation of Saint Seiya. In Saint Seiya Next Dimension there are already some chapters that mention it.

The teshirogi is unlikely to do so.

PS: the original manga is superior to Lost Canvas because Kurumada invented everything from scratch, while Teshirogi copied almost everything from the original work.

Its more like Teshirogi improved on and mastered every element Kurumada came up with and created a manga that is overall superior from both a writing & artistic standpoint to the original Saint Seiya manga.

Having watched both, the original does feel very archaic compared to Lost Canvas.
