....aside from the name, this franchise now looks like something id never consider even buying anymore. Still getting it because its a final fantasy title, but if its anything like FF 15 im in for a huge disappointment.

I'm interested partially because Yoshi.P is involved. I can see some of the FF14 influence in the trailer for sure.

Looks wayyyy different from FFXV, legit thought it was a FFXIV expansion at first. I'm interested though, think I'm one of the few people out there that genuinely enjoyed FFXV lol

VERY strong FF14 vibes from the world setting based solely on the trailer.
Looks interesting.
I haven't really played any FF game since 10 (other than FF14). Most of my favorites are preFF7.
I may give some time to check this out.

So it looks the one soldier with an actual discernible personality ends up crushed under a rock in the trailer. Edgy white bread only! Yeah, okay, huge FFXV vibes from this one.
Really hoping Yoshida's actually keeping his cards close to his chest and this isn't indicative of the final product/story at all, kind of like how the early Shadowbringers trailers were 90% misdirection.
If not, there's nothing Final Fantasy about this. Where's the hope?

Not sure if this is the Final Fantasy 16 that will get me back into the gaminig world after my retirement from final fantasy 12 superbosses.
As some above my post have said, have to wait for further production and a few more years to sharpen this up.

Yeah, hope this is the complete final product. What I like about XIV is that it has a perfect melding of all the things I like in a Final Fantasy story. Humor, drama, and a sense of adventure in the world. Hope Yoshi brings that to XVI.

Square Enix is now pretending they know nothing about a PC version despite the footage being recorded on PC lol. This is gonna be another Death Stranding - PC version accidently announced early, pretend it doesn't exist and then right after console version release they'll announce PC version again. Lol

Nah, it's not Nomura on the case — YoshiP is pretty tight on his scheduling. Solid ending of 2021 - beginning of 2022, depending on how much they did since previous year at least when the rumors about the game under his direction started, including the particular names from core 14 team, like Takai (which turned true).

I'm not that big with the shown gameplay. Considering the setting, IMO it should be more grounded. But I like everything else and really looking forward to playing this on PC.

When I was watching this trailer I was worried it was going to be another mmorpg like FFXIV cause it definitely has a similar vibe to that game. Turns out the reason why it looks and feels so similar to that game is because it shares the same producer and director as XIV. The more you know.
Anyways I'm happy it's a main line installment and not a multiplayer only game. Also nice to see Final Fantasy return to a medieval fantasy setting.
And does anyone else think the graphics in this one look nowhere near as good as the graphics in FF7 remake? I mean the visuals practically look the same as the graphics in FFXV. It definitely doesn't look as visually impressive as I was hoping a next gen Final Fantasy game would look like.
