Wow, I didn't realize that this show is just a blip on the timeline that Okazaki made.

Hey, I know about that site. It's a place for media industry reps. I usually come to that site to play Hero Machine now a days.
Yeah, Afro Samurai pwns the other Spike TV cartoons. |

Afro Samurai is turning out to be a much better show than I was expecting. That can be thanked to the apparent care taken ensure that it wasn't overly westernized and not drowned in overbearing eastern action. The action has been well-placed and appropriate for the type of setting the story takes place in, and the story itself actually has an air of freshness to it (the tradition of the No. 1 & 2 headbands comes to mind), even with the blaxploitation-esque episode of last week. The voice acting's pretty good, too, though the old men sound very disjointed in perhaps an unintentionally funny way. The interview seemed to shed some positive light on the show and that they were taking the project seriously and with care, to make it a balanced and good action series.

This is much better than previous Spike animation efforts. But will it be bringing them the ratings they want? At a million an episode, this show would have to be pulling big numbers to be worth continuing. (^_*)

One of the brothers, Number 1 is voiced by Phil LaMarr. One of the others I'm sure is John DiMaggio (Bender), two great voice actors. I was glad to hear them on the show.
