Does this article have to be so heavy with the "this is a sneaky, sneaky OEL release!" if it is a good comic, then it is a good comic.

The description of the guy "Blank" sounds really interesting and funny! Crazy hormonal teen telling everyone he's a secret agent, and may really be one? Doesn't that just sound like a dream-come-true for most crazy kids? Very Happy I'm gonna check this out.

Clearly not manga. This is yet further proof that gaijin can NOT draw in the Japanese style.

Pop Mhan was definitely using manga stylistc elements, but he's using his own style, not a pure "Japanese style."

Even besides that, his artistry is still better than a lot of genuine manga-ka out there. He can at least draw well, and I haven't been able to say that about a fair amount of the manga I've read.

Have you even read the book yet? Besides, they already state it's not manga. Manga-influenced != manga. The author does have a background from well known Western comic companies at least.

Anyway, just because someone's not Japanese doesn't mean they will never be able to draw in the Japanese style. White guys can rap, black guys can play hockey, and there are non-Japanese who can draw manga. Boo to stereotypes.

You've definitely gotten my interest, the cover art looks nice (curvaceous indeed), but it seems sort of unfair to even bring it up considering the fate of Tokyopop and that this first volume is basically it since 2006.

You do realize that you're responding to a four-year-old thread (and review), right?
