Nagisa and Tsubasa used to be so cute, and to think every joke about those 2 from here it's gonna be about spoiler[how much sex they have and how they are gonna end up having a shotgun wedding].

That being said I hope they animate 2 chapters that didn't in the last season, the one where Ayasaka properly appears (not animating this one hurts the joke when Shirogane falls a sleep since its the chapter when we realise Shirogane is sleep deprived) and the other its the movie date.

They actually animated the chapter when Kaguya tries to trick Shirogane into inviting her but didn't make the follow up.

They really went all in on the Mission Impossible joke with Hayasaka, including on screen fuse and suspiciously similar background music. Other than that, pretty straightforward adaptation of the manga. Nice to see it back, even if I prefer Crunchyroll to Funimation streaming it.

Funi didn't handle on screen text particularly well in this episode.

^ Actually, I think the music resembles more Madonna's "Vogue"

The manga really picked up during this part and got even better as it went along.

If the adaptation does the source justice this will be a fantastic season.

This season will be amazing. But the next season will be the best.

It'd be fun to play a Chika designed game at least once to see how disastrously it goes for the players.

Another great episode.

While the plot of the show is that neither one wants to confess first and wants the other to do so (so that is their goal), could someone please remind me if Kaguya and Miyuki actually knows that the other person likes them, or is this just their presumption at this point?

I think after the fireworks at the end of the last season and Miyuki's cheesy line, there can be no doubt. At least from Kaguya's perspective. The repeated antics are a giveaway though, especially when blushing is involved (meaning it's not likely to be platonic teasing). There's no direct confirmation though, since avoiding that is the point.

I feel like this episode would have been a few better ending to the first season. Having the student council dissolve itself on episode 3 of a 12(?) episodes season with an opening clearly focused on the character being in the student council and the president obviously being president really remove any punch this segment could have had.

Super Saiyan Shirogane is the smoothest man alive.

This season's really gone above and beyond with its animation and artistry, and I'm glad to see the deserved confidence the staff is bringing to this blessed second season.

I thought the student council segment was a bit of a misstep. While it was all fun to watch, it came out of nowhere and was really odd to watch in the beginning (it seemed like a clip show at first). I think it would have played better with some set up alluding to the 67th council coming to an end in preceding episodes (which is especially hard to do by episode 3).
It also is a bit confusing with the previous birthday store line taking place in September. I suppose the student council could end that early, but wouldn't it normally end towards the end of the school year (so some time in March)?
It's fine if they want to jump around the calendar like in many school comedies, but that can sometimes be detrimental to the start of a segment if it feels like you jumped too suddenly.

Considering the college entrance exam system in Japan, I'd guess it wouldn't be feasible for third years to be in the student council for the entire year. So it makes sense for elections to occur mid-year while the oldest members still have time to train new members.

In another example, Fruits Basket seemed to have their elections in late Spring, before the summer vacation.

I tried a cursory search for real life examples, but it looks like I'd have to dig for that information.

It varies from school to school. Some Japanese schools hold their elections in the middle of the first semester, so that first-year students don't have to spend an entire year without a say in who is running their student government. Others hold their elections at the beginning of the second semester, so that third-year members of the student council can feel free to focus all of their efforts on their entrance exams. In anime and manga, though, it usually ends up happening at the point where the author thinks it most makes sense for the story. (For example, in Maria Watches Over Us, both of the student council elections had to be set in late January, in order to set up "Valentine's Day scavenger hunt" story arcs that invariably resulted in spoiler[girls winning a date with the girls they challenged] during the election.)

Episode 4 has finally convinced me that Hayasaka is, indeed, the MVP of the show. Besides the segment devoted to her, we also get a chance to see her "in disguise" at school again and start rattling the cages of both Kaguya and Shirogane. I hope she gets some more chances to shine.

This feels like as a good a time as any to mention that I think A-1 Pictures is doing a fantastic job deciding how much of the manga to skip over. It's not that there are any particularly bad parts, it's just that I think that they can afford to pick and choose the most memorable chapters and then move on to the election. As great as I think this arc is, there's no need for it to overstay its welcome when so many of the upcoming arcs are just as good.
