These girls are idiots. Traveling to Japan without passports because they think it'll be a wild and crazy place with samurai and giant robots or whatever they saw in their manga. Real stupid. Of course, their parents will try to get all anime and manga banned now, but they'll lose the case miserably and instead be told to take care of their kids.

Well, at least the parents can be relieved over the fact that they ran away due to their love of Japan, J-Pop and manga. Not because they met some foriegn 25-year-old on MySpace and know that they are "soul-mates" and are meant to be together.

Not that it really matters, but it's Euro, now... Anyway, I actually found this to be pretty darn funny. Yes, we all have a love for manga, but it doesn't mean to go overboard with it. Heck, I'd love to visit Japan, but I'd never escape to Japan. (I don't think I even want to live there, it's expensive) Some people take their obsessions way too far. |

I got 10 bucks says they were rabid yaoi fans too boot. In fact, I'll bet that's how the Polish authorities nabbed them.

You know it's not that difficult to travelfrom France to Japan. It looks expensive though and needs a high degree of coordination. If they had brought their passports, visas and visa support with them, they would have made it there.
And, they still would have needed to have bought their Japan Rail Passbefore leaving Europe. I think that it's nice that they wanted to visit Japan. However, their execution of their plan was just plain stupid imo!
