Now Crunchy have Domekano I've literally got no reason to keep my HIDIVE sub anymore.

CR getting Kotobuki means they are streaming all the series I'm interested in this season. There's a couple of older anime on Hi-Dive I'm watching but once I'm finished with them I won't have any use for their service anymore, so I guess I can save some money soon.
Edit: Well I'm still planning on watch Bang Dream eventually, and I guess Hi-Dive is exclusively streaming the second season? But I can always watch it during a season they get more shows, make the most out of a month of subscription. |

I wonder if there will be any censoring in the Domestic Girlfriend broadcast. If so, and if you don't get the blurays, then HIDIVE would be the only place to watch the BD version

So, Sentai gives away their biggest title of this season (The Magnificent KOTOBUKI ) to Crunchyroll....
I guess Sentai may gets something very good in return, otherwise it is a very stupid business decision.... |

Is this all but a de facto new partnership deal between Crunchyroll and Sentai to replace Funimation?

I think that was pretty much confirmed when Sentai basically took all of Funi's VRV spots. |

^Well, they're partnered so far as they're sharing streaming rights - and I suspect that's mostly because CR pulls more viewers for a show than HiDive. So far there's no sign that Sentai and CR are licensing series jointly the way Funiroll did. I also suspect that if they do partner up, there will be far fewer simuldubs from Sentai.

I don't see this as Sentai giving away titles. It looks like Crunchyroll got streaming rights for these shows directly from the Japanese publisher; Sentai can't do much about that. Nevertheless, Sentai's involvement with Crunchyroll seems to already be paying off with the former being able to license 10+ shows this season, as opposed to just 4-6. |

Welp, it looks like Crunchy have now got BanG Dream S2 and How clumsy you are, Miss Ueno. as well Someone correct me if I'm wrong but doesn't that mean HIDIVE have no exclusives now? |

Pastel Memories has also been added by Crunchyroll. Bermuda Triangle is still a HIDIVE exclusive, but Crunchyroll will probably add it later today or tomorrow. |

Sentai is giving away "The Magnificent KOTOBUKI" to Crunchyroll. Crunchyroll is actually streaming Sentai's version of "The Magnificent KOTOBUKI". (It even shows Sentai's credit list at the end of the video) http://www.crunchyroll.com/the-magnificent-kotobuki/episode-1-moonlit-guns-for-hire-782139 (For "Grimms Notes", Crunchyroll is streaming their own version, not Sentai's.) http://www.crunchyroll.com/grimms-notes-the-animation/episode-2-don-quixotes-faith-781448 |

Just re-watched ep 3 on Crunchy and didn't see any changes. The anime is less explicit than the manga so far, so there may not need to be any changes between the streams. |

Devastating? During their Funi partnership CR got the rights for a ton of shows that they continue to control and even retained streaming rights to the English dubs that Funimation produced. CR lost the rights to subtitled content they borrowed from Funi, but Crunchyroll is now the most powerful anime company in North America and probably the whole Western hemisphere of the world. The big loser of the CR-Funi split up is Funimation because they will have a hard time licencing enough shows to be able to deliver 15+ simuldubs each season. |
