so this is why the original was delisted from Steam? It still doesn't make sense. Has this happened in any other case where the original game was taken down because a remaster was coming?

Skyrim. Last I checked the original Legendary Edition was delisted and replaced with the Special Edition, done partly because if you already owned Legendary Edition, you got Special Edition for free, and because Legendary was cheaper, they knew ahead of time that people who didn't already own the game would use that as a loophole, hence the delisting of Legendary and only offering Special Edition.

There are also cases where the existing game simply receives an overhaul update or the new version is added to your Steam Library alongside the old version which is still available for purchase.

yes. if you already owned it you can still play it and re-download it.

this HAS to be coming to PC as well. They removed it for sale on Steam. There's no reason to do that unless this is also coming to Steam.
