Isn't this a bit soon? Or does it have tons of material even though volume 1 just came out in the U.S.?

Obviously haven’t seen this, but I’m still seriously hoping that Ufotable gives more WSJ titles an adaptation.

It’s got 11 volumes, which is already about 50 episodes of content based on the 2:1 rule.

Shouldn't that depend on the manga's pace more than any rule? I haven't checked this one out yet, but there is a huge difference in pacing between a dialogue heavy manga and an action heavy one (think Death Note vs. Bleach).

Anyway, it's not coming out 'till next year, which would give them more to work with. I'm just surprised at how quickly it's getting adapted.

There's easily more than enough material in Japan for a 24 episode season. As the other person here said there's 11 volumes of so out in Japan right now, we're just way behind in the U.S.

There's a lot of content to burn through in terms of both lengthy dialogue sections and long fights. Also 3 year since the launch of the manga by the time the anime comes out, that seems like a decent amount of time.

With the amount of chapters out right now they could easily do three 24 episode seasons. And since this ain't Toei or Peirrot we don't got to worry about it being a continuous running show. I just hope we get multiple seasons.

This is actually taking longer to release than most Shonen Jump anime adaptations.

Actually, volume 12 just came out today, and judging by the rate new volumes come out, there'll probably be ~3 more by the time the anime comes out (one in October, one in December, and one in March, since that seems to be the schedule they come out on).

Time between premiere in Jump and anime adaptation:

Black Clover ~ 32 months

Kimetsu no Yaiba ~ 39 months

Food Wars ~ 29 months

Haikyu! ~ 27 months

Hinomaru Zumo ~ 54 months

My Hero Academia ~ 22 months

The Promised Neverland ~ 30 months

Yuuna and the Haunted Hot Springs ~ 30 months

It seems about standard for 2010s Jump series.

That's really interesting! Thanks for putting it to clearly!
