What? So it'll be a 4 episode long 3rd series? I wonder how many OSTs they would make if *that* was the case. Hey, who cares, as long it's as good as the other 2 (especially the "Laughing Man" series). |

Film is the key word here, not episodic series, I think.

Makes sense its a populer series they'd make some money. Then hopefully they will make a new season.

I have been waiting for a new movie for a while now. I thought I had read somewhere that the Laughing Man episodes were going to be turned into a movie a while back... guess I must have read wrong or something. Hope this is as good as the movies, series, and manga... they haven't let us down yet, well maybe GITS Innocence for us US DVD collectors.

Looking forward to whatever they come up with. Just am hoping to be surprised. I think there is an awful lot that hasn't been delved into. We got a taste of politics, and foreign relations, in SAC, so I would like the project to go into those areas moer perhaps. Perhaps religion and how it affects the cyborg world???
But if it is just a cop show, I won't mind. I thought SAC was as good as any cop show I have ever seen on US TV. So are we talking 2007? 2008 US debut? |

They were. Standalone Complex: Laughing Man (and it's 2nd Gig counterpart Standalone Complex: Individual Eleven) have been out for quite some time. They're compilation movies though, not completely original works. |

So where are you from... I mean have these compilations only been released in Japan? I haven't heard about that type of release here in America, Region 1. I didn't pick up the series because of financial issues, to sum it up in one word: college, but I would love to pick up these compilations. I did watch GITS SAC and currently watching GITS 2nd Gig on adult swim so I've seen the story, I would just like it on DVD so I can watch it whenever.
I just checked the encyclopedia, the only thing that bothered me was that there is no information on a U.S. release. I'm guessing it will be after 2nd Gig is completed on DVD. I just hope they don't wait for this new "series" thats being made. |
