I find it gratting that a true British authentic story gets highjacked as an "American" one.

I didn't know that The Chronic-WHAT!-cles Of Narnia was out in Japan. Meh, I didn't like the book anyways, so I passed on the movie. Too much Christian stuff to swallow in that thing...

I could understand Fist losing to One Piece, but not Aeon Sux.

Narnia ? The book may be Brittish, but the movie was directed & scripted by Andrew Adamson, a New Zealander living in the USA and produced by Walden Media, a company based in the USA and funded by Walt Disney, also an Amercican comapny. Filming was in New Zealand. The fact that the movie was made by American companies makes it, IMHO an American movie based on a British book. -t |

I agree. It may have been based on a british book but it was still done by an american company. All in the Family, one of the best sitcoms in history, is an american sitcom that's based on a british sitcom.

I don't expect anyone on the other side of the pond to understand. Seeing "USA" next to the title Narnia touched a nerve like a dentest. Never mind.
BTW did you know that the "Hundred Acher Woods" really exists? |

The 11th, according to the encyclopedia. Also, there'll be two more movies and two OVAs.

Now thats nothing but pure and simple bigotry on your part. The movie was American made, hence why its listed under the USA. If this was a book list, and it said USA, I could understand your state of mind. However, its a movie list, not a book list. |

Should we mention Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, not Philosopher's stone? Or how about Kevin Kostner as Robin Hood?
At least errol Flynn tried to sound English. Hey, I'm still cheesed that Jean Reno didn't get the Corben Dallas part in the Fifth Element. Had to do that money grabbing American name, Bruce Whatsis. I think I am going to have to learn Japanese. If subs are anything like they are in french films, they are so off, it ain't funny. |
