Good showing this year. I adored Wallace and Gromit.

No, next year, the winner shall be Cars. I shall be astounded if anything else comes close.
And Hayao Miyazaki won't have another feature film out for at least another couple of years, and I doubt the Academy would nominate any anime that isn't Hayao Miyazaki. Maybe Goro Miyazaki, his son, but I'm skeptical.

I was holding my hopes out for Howl, but I'm happy that at least it got nominated. Considering how it got panned in so many critics' reviews that I read, it did pretty well just to make it to nominations.

I wasn't suprised
Honestly, Howl's Moving Castle wasn't Miyazaki's best work, and when put up against Wallace and Grommit, I didn't expect Miyazaki to top that here.

Wallace and Gromit is better than any anime ever.

*Cough *cough
Princess Mononoke is a hundred times better than either one of them.

Mononoke is really overrated.

Tenchi: No one's taking Cars seriously. It's a toss-up between Ice Age 2 and the Pom Poko remake, Over The Hedge.

I kind of hoped that Howl's would win.
Wallace and Gromit is going to be shown in Tokyo next week. I bet it will look great in the big screen. Hurrah for Student Discounts (Y1500).

Maybe a few people in the Box Office Mojo forum, under the mistaken impression that Cars is a NASCAR movie (it's not; the NASCAR stuff is all in the first couple of minutes), are underestimating it, but it's John Freakin' Lasseter, so I don't think any of the other CGI films this year will touch it.

Let's start the Gedo Senki campaign now.

They're making a remake? Not going to lie, Pom Poko was one of the worst movies I've ever seen.
