I really wish GKids had kept the title as "Mirai of the Future" instead of shortening it to just Mirai.

The title appears to be misleading as the article says that it is being hosted on something parallel to the Cannes but not the Cannes. Isn't that so?

Tatsuro Yamashita content outside of Japan is difficult to get a hold of, hopefully, this film widens release of at least this song.

But isn't Mirai also a play on the word "future". In fact the world 'Mirai' translates to future. And depending on the characters in her name could still mean something close. So it could work.

So it's kinda like Girl Who Leapt Through Time, with the rolls reversed. Maybe, I don't know.

I’m so happy GKIDS got his new film. It’s not like it’ll win an Oscar or anything but at least now maybe it’ll actually have a chance of getting nominations (now that it’s out of Funi’s incompetent hands) and playing in a wider list of theaters that don’t require me to drive 2-3 hours to see a 90 minute film.

Also that theme song sounds lovely. I do love the singers work on Summer Wars.
