lol NISA strikes again, eh? Probably shouldn't announce a date until things are 100% fine.

Entitlement-problems beside, I think it's best that they take their time in improving the game instead of releasing it as it is to avoid further problems.

I think they just need to use a more capable porting studio - from the sounds of it, they'll be hiring a new company to redo a lot of the title because they likely went with a lower skilled dev team to cut down the costs of their PC port. Whatever happened, hopefully the PC port comes within the first half of 2018 still....

At least the re-localization is on time for Jan 30...

So glad they could steal the license from Xseed, so they could botch it in every way possible. I live in fear that they're going to get the trails 3 license, and I'll be forced to watch how they screw that up.

I would pretend to be surprised, but, well... I'm not.

After this whole mess, I hope falcom stays with XSEED. I mean how many publishers have had to redo nearly an entire game's worth of translation and voice acting after a release?

Wait until NSIA realizes (if this is indeed the darkest timeline, and they get the cold steel 3 and 4 license) that fans of that series have even higher expectations than the Ys fans. I maybe not even buy 3 until it gets super deep discounted if NSIA gets it, whereas it's a day one buy if Xseed gets it. Fuckin' tired of NSIA stealing licenses from actual good companies.

My expectations are I want to play Falcom games on the switch and if XSeed can't give me that then the logical choice is NISA ( sorry)

Your expectations based around one announcement? Good to know you aren't entitled.

While PC releases are dependent on the localizer, Switch releases are 100% on the original company.

Falcom isn't developing the Switch version of Ys 8. NIS is, on behalf of NIS America. Even in Japan, Falcom isn't publishing it.
