But this proves One Piece may stay on Toonami... Ha! if the ratings stay up. |

 My thoughts excactly... I don't bother keeping up with the dub. If 4kids haters wanted to stop them, then they need to ignore 4kids and stop watching the dub. I know a lot of people who do nothing but complain about the One Piece dub, but yet watch it every week...

Not to mention the select few of us who refuse to watch fansubs of licensed anime.
Honestly, people. 4Kids gave you a chance ("Uncut Shaman King DVD" ring a bell?) and you neglected it. Stashing your computer with illegal files isn't going to help your case. Bias aside, I do think One Piece was a missed opprotunity, if only because of where it debuted. FoxBox? You thought you were going to squeeze a phenomenon out of FOXBOX? |

I'm sorry, but overpriced three episodes per disc with dubtitles and a shitty, poorly written dub is not what I'd call a chance. Besides, what if I didn't like Yugioh? Why should I have to buy a release that's not only screwed, but also of a series I do not like, just so I can possibly get a series I do like, with the same treatment. It's not fair and it is by no means ethical, but it's legal, so there's little I can do about it.
Besides, it's not like Fansubs would be greatly affective 4Kids because as far as we can see, they're not aiming for the Anime-collecting market anyway. |

Incorrect. Many people actually BOUGHT Shaman King and Yugioh uncut. The problem was 4Kids didn't feel it was "profitable" because they would have to redub every episode. |

No, the Shaman King and Yu-Gi-Oh! DVDs were fabricated, just like everything else the company tells us. They only went the extra mile to make it seem real. 3 episode DVDs with a horrible dub, zero extras, and dubtitles is not a "chance". It's an attempt at making people shut up. It's almost as if 4Kids purposely put them out, expecting them to sell terribly, so they could say "See? Uncuts don't work on the market!" Now, this backfired when they outsold their then-recent edited counterparts (though SK doesn't have an edited counterpart on DVD, I'm using the edited Yu-Gi-Oh! DVDs for comparison), so they just ignored it and went about their merry way. Chances are, whenever One Piece is going to be released uncut, they'll pull the same bull. Release shitty DVDs, they sell good anyway, they cancel them claiming that the edited versions are more profitable, when anyone with a working pair of eyes could see that they're dead wrong. Oh, and BTW, the only 4Kids series I frequently download is One Piece, though you can add Shaman King to that, because they obviously have no intention of releasing the rest of it uncut or even edited. Regarding the TV airings, many people assumed the show would return January 7th, but the WVAH schedules aren't listing it, and they're the most reliable about this sort of thing. |

Thats exactly what all we pepole who hate the dub should do-download the show and ignore whats on tv anyone who watchs the dub is a idoit there are a million better shows on.come to think of it a cant think of anyone who would watch 4kids tv(expect the very young and stupid)because kids these days dont want to watch watered down crap like 4kids one piece. Hell if i was a kid i would want to see some blood and swearing on tv (which the orignal one piece has) some one tell 4kids its 2005 not 1995 |

wats wrong with one piece? i'm deprived of cable so i would want to watch the episodes of it even if it is rerun... and i haven't seen it yet.
the last new one i saw was when luffy was at that frozen mountain place trying to take care of nami and wanting tony tony on his crew T-T sad isn't it? I must have missed a while season (weep) |

dont watch 4kids one piece its the lowwest form of tv you will find(it mocks a great show) if you have the internet as i see you do you can just download the far better version the japanese version |

Yeesh. Guess I'm the only one here who doesn't consider 4Kids the anti-christ.
Yes, I know the DVDs weren't spectacular, but they could have just as easily not made them. Marketing ploy or not, it takes effort and money to re-dub something, which they could have used to "butcherize" something else. Point is, 4Kids considers anime fans little more than chihuahuas nipping at it's heels. So they throw us some scraps. |

I saw some episodes of Shaman King and it would have been better if they hadn't released them.
If you don't like One Piece on 4KidsTV then don't watch it. I don't consider 4Kids the anti-Christ. However, I would never want any anime to be released by them.

If they had just outright said "no" to people, that would be smoewhat more acceptable because we could move on (or I could), but they essentially cock-blocked us with a shitty release.
And you wonder WHY people don't like them? Anyway, fansubs, shut up. The K-F release is not exactly the best thing around either, what with it's whole "HEY GUYS! LOOK AT OUR BLINGING ATTACK NAMES! LOOK AT ATTENTION TAKING SUBTITLES! WQE WROTE THE SHOW TOO! WE ARE AWESOME! LOOK AT OUR HUGE LOGO! WOOOOOW". I mean sure, 4kids did do worse, but I'm always going to have an issue with groups who think they're the ones who should take credit for a series, and as such credit-masturbate (look, our internet names are with the credits and fly all about the place! We are awesome!). |
